Wednesday 5th April was the start of the Gold Coast Commonwealth games so to celebrate Halsey Drive held its own Commonwealth sports day. We found 6 sports played by countries in the commonwealth and we learnt how to play them. Competing in our houses we played the games against other teams to find an overall commonwealth champion. Here is a video of our day!
The final results of the day were:
1st Ruru 2
2nd = Pukeko 1 and Tui 1
3rd Tui 2
Congratulations to Ruru for taking out the Dodgeball competition!
Last week the senior school held its Swimming sports. It was a fantastic day with lots of children showing off their skills in the pool. A huge thank you to Glenn Hamblyn for his help and to all the parents who came along and supported the children.
Here is a short video to show some of the action of the day!
